Adrian Barakat

Adrian is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law and co-founding Director of AJB Stevens. He has extensive experience in matters commenced in most state jurisdictions throughout Australia, and has overseen matters through the appellate courts including to the High Court. Earlier in his career Adrian acted on behalf of insurers for several years so he brings a diverse understanding of compensation claims with a balanced and rational approach.

Adrian gains satisfaction from achieving life changing results for his clients and has won more than 99% of his cases. Adrian has achieved life changing results including a settlement in excess of $5million for an injured client. He has successfully prosecuted claims against large corporations such as Westfield, Meriton, Telstra, NRMA, Allianz and Stocklands.

Currently Adrian is heading the class action team focussing on medical device class actions against large pharmaceutical and medical device companies, in keeping with his personal injury and medical negligence background.

Additionally, Adrian has a keen interest in Family Law and is focused on achieving fair outcomes for his clients in parenting and financial matters by utilising his extensive experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution as well as his sharp litigation and advocacy skills.
